What Family Means to Us
Family comes in many forms—whether it’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, or close friends; what makes a family is the support, love, and shared interests that hold them together. Every family deserves the tools and support needed to thrive.
Building Resilience
Resilience is about adapting and thriving, even when times are tough. Our “Strengthening Families” approach focuses on helping families grow through strong social connections, practical support in times of need, and a deeper understanding of child development. Research from the Center for the Study of Social Policy shows that these strengths help families through challenges and set the foundation for children and youth to reach their full potential.
Solid Foundations
A resilient family and community rely on key factors that help children and teens feel secure and supported.
These Foundations include:
- A strong sense of cultural identity
- Access to healthcare services
- Stable housing and a safe place to call home
- Economic stability and opportunities to earn a living wage
- Social support through connections to friends and family
- A welcoming community, including faith and cultural groups
