Family Therapy
Going through difficult times can be overwhelming. We connect people with safe spaces to explore their feelings, heal from past experiences, and build stronger connections with those around them.
With a referral from the Ministry of Children and Family Development, families can access support that uses different therapeutic approaches, including:
- Trauma Support using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an approach that helps individuals process traumatic memories and relieve distress.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical approach that helps clients recognize and change negative thought patterns to improve their emotional well-being.
- Family-of-Origin and Family-of-Orientation Therapy is a method that explores family history and current familial setups to understand current behaviours and help build stronger relationships.
- Adlerian Therapy focuses on understanding your goals and motivations and encouraging positive change and growth.
- Art Therapy is a creative method that uses art-making to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve self-awareness.
Our family therapy program offers counselling for individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing a variety of challenges like trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, family dynamics, and parent-teen conflict.
