PEACE program

Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling, and Empowerment

The PEACE Program offers support and guidance to children and teens aged 4-18 who have experienced or been exposed to violence at home. This program provides a safe space for kids to share their experiences through group sessions or one-on-one counselling. Our goal is to help break the cycle of violence by offering understanding, education, and practical tools for healing.

The PEACE Program is here to help kids find their voices, build resilience, and feel supported. If you’re looking for a safe and caring place for a child or teen to find understanding and strength, this program could be the right fit.

What the Program Offers

  • Myth-Busting: Helping kids understand the truths about family violence and dispel harmful myths.
  • Safe Space for Expression: Creating a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where children can talk about their feelings and learn healthy ways to express emotions like anger, hurt, and fear.
  • Support and Connection: Letting children know they are not alone and helping them share their thoughts and feelings with others who have had similar experiences.
  • Understanding Rights and Abuse: Teaching children about different types of abuse—physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual—and empowering them to understand their rights.
  • Building Skills: Helping kids develop problem-solving and coping skills to navigate challenges.
  • Safety Planning: Working with children to create personalized safety plans and build support networks they can rely on.
