Family Support Worker Program

Family Support Workers provide personalized support to people of all ages dealing with various challenges, concerns, or stressors. We aim to build on each person’s strengths, helping them develop new skills and connect to the resources they need to thrive.
In partnership with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Family Support Workers offer support in areas like:
  • Parenting Skills
  • Communication and conflict resolution
  • Physical, social and emotional support
  • Life skills, including housing, budgeting, meal planning, and time management
  • Navigating care systems and accessing services
  • “Youth Agreements” for additional support. These agreements provide tailored support for youth ages 16-18 living independently, focusing on housing, education, and life skills to help them transition into adulthood.

Family Support Workers also work with youth and young adults, guiding them towards safer, healthier choices, strengthening their relationships with family and community, and helping them overcome barriers as they move toward independence.

Access to our services is simple, and Individuals or families can reach out directly for support.
